Can you have both preview and browse modes at same time

Featured Replies

I can't figure out where to post this question; I need to be able to change font and size of of field and have it show along with the sliding feature to keep all the fields close together. I'm trying to make a site that people can order printing from like VistaPrint.com. I'm wondering if you can show a portion of a layout that is in preview mode shown in a layout that is in browse mode so the type changes show in realtime?

Merge fields slide in Browse mode. They are not enterable though. If you have the fields also on the layout as regular fields, then you could see the result in either merge fields, or an unstored calculation field that included the fields. I don't what exactly that has to do with a web site however. HTML has its own way of consolidating text.

Well i made a field and consolidated all the text from 4 editable fields with this "TextFont ( TextSize ( headline ; font size headline ) ; font headline ) & ¶ & TextSize ( TextFont ( body 1 & ¶ & body 2 & ¶ & body 3 ; font body 1 ) ; font size body 1 )" Headline is the first row and is changeable both font and size but haven't got to style yet. then there is 3 lines of body text. So far so good, Did you check out Vistaprint? That site looks like filemaker to me. What I want to do is much simpler.

Hi

you can have the same layout shown in Browse Mode into a window, and in Preview Mode in a second window.
