wjmartin Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I set User/Password as Mike/mike on the DB when I created it on a Mac, tested it and it works fine. Gave it to my user who is on a PC and we have observed some strange behaviours - best I can tell, sometimes it likes mike/mike, other times MIKE/mike is ok, but mostly it does not like Mike/mike! - how important is the capitalisation in user name and password - especially going between Mac and PC? (I am on 8.0.3, my user is on 8.0.0 if that makes any difference)
John Mark Osborne Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Account names disregard case while passwords will always use the case specified when creating the Account/Password. Shouldn't make a difference whether you are using FileMaker Pro 7 or 8. On the other hand, FileMaker Pro 6 and earlier disregard case in passwords.
