janedoe Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 hi, we have a series of forms which are in image format. we have each of the forms on multiple layouts for different clients. different clients clients have different printers, therefore require different margins. for example: form a may start here for client a: |---- | but form a may start here for client b: |---- | is there any way to avoid having multiple layouts for this purpose? is there a way of moving the form (in the form of an image) according to which client is currently logged in? maybe there's a plugin that someone knows of that may assist? any suggestions are most welcome. we essentially have a forms file setup for this purpose, and each form is replicated about 8 times, so the forms file is about 8 times larger than what we'd like. tia, jd.
Vaughan Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Set the layout's margins to zero. Then position the elements on the layout as required. They won't move around as the print area changes. Be aware that objects that fall outside the pritable area will be cropped, so leave a bit of wiggle-room.
janedoe Posted May 18, 2006 Author Posted May 18, 2006 Thanks, We'll double check if this works and let you know. Cheers, jd.
