Using Script to define Value lists(or the Impossible Dream)

Hello everyone. I'm a newbie, and I have a question.

Is it possible to use a script to choose what value list to use?

A little more background: My company uises FM to track the shipping of products. We have certain companies that we have agreements with.

We currently have a script that fills in the contact info of the companies, and we would also like it to change the listing of products they can choose from, as each has a different subset. Is this possible, if so how. Please help!

I had the same problem, but instead of a script I used a heirarchical value list. For instructions check out Louisa's post from May 16.
