CREATING MORE THAN ONE SET OF SERIAL #'s

I am making a database for purchase orders - my problem is that i am moving from a manual system to an FM system

I have 4 main suppliers and each one of them needs to have thier own serial # for thier orders.

Example if i have supplier A, B, C.

I would need to have order #

A-1,A-2,A-3 etc..

B-1,B-2,B-3 etc...

C-1,C-2,C-3 etc...

How do i write a calculation that puts the correct serial # for Supplier A, B, C. I have tried many ways and i cant get it to work

Thanks for your help

Although you need to change the Lookups in this classic template, into autoenter calc'fields containing the Lookup function. It may sound confusing, but it's because oldfasion Lookups are a tad slower than the calc'ed.
