FMS 5.5 and FM unlimited together??

I have been told that FM server 5.5 and FM unlimited 6 should not be run on the same machine (because they will request the same port number?). However I am very keen to see if this is a real issue or there is a work around (apart from using two separate machines).

Any tips or advice??
