I'm sure there must be a thread where this is already in discussion, so please point me on my way as my searches have proved futile. I am apparently keyword challenged.

Faced finally with a meaty project to build from scratch in FM8, and with the users and server accessible only via a SLOW T1 line, I salivate for the separate user interface, so the data can stay put. I would love to hear about real world experiences, but I wouldn't snub my nose at theory and conjecture.
