dvalley Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Somehow our remote admin password for FMS 7 has been changed or corrupted and now we cannot open or close files on our network. Is there somewhere one can change it on the local machine (regedit or the like?)or must we reload FMS 7?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 You can delete the FMAuth registry key and then reboot, but [color:red] sure as all hell be certain you know what you're doing or you will totally trash your server. Steven
dvalley Posted June 13, 2006 Author Posted June 13, 2006 I looked, but cannot find FMAuth. I do see AdminAuth in the FM preferences in HK Local Machine.

Steven H. Blackwell Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Good. Glad it worked. [color:red] I really want to emphasize to everyone that if you do not know exactly what you are doing: stay out of the Registry. The damage that can be done to the computer is immense. OK? Steven
