Printing and Sliding Merge Field Problem

ISSUE:

A merge field does not slide up if the merge field above it contains no data in FileMaker Pro 8.0v3.

I read about this problem in version 7 and understand it was fixed but I'm still experiencing this problem. Am I doing something wrong?
