December 11, 200124 yr Most people here are unfamiliar with Instant Web Publishing primarily because Custom Publishing is where the actions is. For custom to work, users only need BROWSE and EXPORT privileges as an absolute minimum. Try it with Instant.
December 12, 200124 yr Newbies I am a near novice on FIleMaker and have just inherited an application. One of the things we need to do is to web-enable the app using Instant Web Publishing. It's a simple change-request tracking system with a single form and getting it up on the web has been relatively simple, except for one thing. We've decided to use FileMaker access privileges since our secuity needs are simple (users vs. administrators). It appears that a web user's password must have "entire file" access in ordeer for that user to add or edit records. This is not acceptible, as webusers should not be able to delete records. I doubt that this is normal behavior. Can anyone point me to my error in setting up security?
