I was wondering if anyones written descriptions of the methods given with the FM API.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the manual that comes with FileMaker 8 Advanced do a pretty good job of this already? If you don't have the manual, you can download it from the filemaker.com web site as a PDF document:

Excellent! thanks man, I was ready to drive to their corporate building and have a chat with these guys for refusing to comment their code...let along provide any real documentation. The manual really helped....
