Hi,

I am just today starting out with Filemaker. I have a couple of questions that may help me on my way.

I wish to create a 'Category' table, containing 'ID', 'Name' and 'Parent' field. I would like to be able to do the following.

Validate that the 'Parent' field is not the same as the 'ID' field and limit a drop down list to only show records that have a 'Parent' field of zero/null.

If anyone has any pointers, I will be glad to hear them.

I have worked out how to validate the field, I just need to work out how to limit the list.
