Web Server Connector & SSL

Here's the sitch.

Windows NT 4.0 Server

IIS 4.0

FMPro 5.5 Unlimited

Web Server Connector

I cannot find documentation on the implementation of SSL using the FileMaker Pro 5.5 Web Server Connctor and IIS. Everything I read says that FMPro 5.5 WSC supports SSL but it does not give instructions on getting it running.

I have successfully mirrored the "WEB" folder under IIS and can retrieve and update my FMP databases via IIS. But I cannot invoke SSL. It seems that when the Web Companion returns data with the format page it default to "http". If I hard code the format page with "https" then the Web Companion doesn't recognize it and just hangs.

Are there any resources out there that can provide details as to a successfull implementation? Somewhere between the IIS folder and the Web folder lies the answere but I can't figure it out.

Please help.

Kroy, have you tried the Internet Forums here as a resource?

Using FileMaker Online has a recent thread "Please Help: VeriSign 128-bit SSL certificate!".

I hope you find this (or other threads there) useful.

Kroy:

Have you installed your server certificate under IIS? If so can you connect to a default index page successfully using HTTPS://servername/indexfile ?

Will
