pug Posted May 7, 2001 Posted May 7, 2001 I used to use applescript a long time ago where I did find results in Filemaker, and then wrote them to a text file on my desktop. I can't remember now how I did that now, but I seem to remember some commands such as, 'open for access' but it's been a long time. Does anyone have such a script(s)?
BobWeaver Posted May 10, 2001 Posted May 10, 2001 I don't have any specific examples of doing finds. But, you can set up find requests and execute them with applescript. You can open the Filemaker applescript dictionary in Script Editor and look at the commands (drag the Filemaker application icon onto Script Editor). As for saving the results as a text file, I'm not sure how you would do that without actually exporting from Filemaker. Is there any reason why you can't just create a Filemaker script to do what you want?
