Hap Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 (edited) I've got a large database that we've routinely exported to .xls format. The database opens and works fine in Excel 2000, however in Excel 2003, certain fields are replaced with question marks, everything else is the same. Everyone of the fields that has this issue uses the List() function in FM pro to get related data into one Excel row. Does anyone know what causes the difference? Edited August 8, 2006 by Guest
skrying Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 It sounds like a character encoding issue. Try changing the character set when you export from FileMaker.
Hap Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 How do I change encoding? Everywhere I see it, the option to change it is greyed out.
