jcc31 Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 My Filemaker Pro 5 script has a "Replace Found Set" option. I would like to use this same method in Filemaker Pro 7. What is the equivalent script from FM5 to FM7?
Ender Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Perhaps you're thinking of the Replace Field Contents[] script step?
jcc31 Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 Well what I want to do is this. I have three fields. Name, Address, and location. I would like to do a find with one field. That part is easy. But now I would like to do a find with a combination of fields. Before I would use the "Replace found set" in my script. Will Replace field contents work?
John Mark Osborne Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Sounds like you are referring to a New Request, Constrain Found Set or Extend Found Set features. When you do the search with a combination of fields, is it an AND or OR find? An AND find would have the find criteria for the three fields on a single request while a n OR find would be on different requests. Or, maybe you are referring to storing find criteria in a script so you can search on the same criteria every time? It has changed in FileMaker 7. Please clarify.
