When users access the server remotely over the internet, does anything get encrypted? (ie, LDAP passwords, internal passwords, data).

Using Server 8 Advanced

Passwords are encrypted. There is no such concept in FileMaker Server as LDAP passwords. Perhaps you mean External Server Authentication? In that case the method of sending passwords--if any are actually sent--depends on the OS of the server, of the Directory Server, and of the workstation.

If the option is selected in the SAT Tool data in transit are also encrypted when accessed from FIleMaker Pro clients.

Web clients using SSL are encrypted from the browser to the Web Server and from the database server to the W{E. The channel from the WPE to the Web Server is noit encrypted and must be otherwise protected.
