Livi Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 (edited) I've seen several posts on errors with the WPE engine "I am having problems configuring the Web Publishing Engine. When I go to the /fmi/config page and input the IP address of the engine, it asks me to restart the filemaker service. When I try to restart the service through the website, I get the "An unexpected error has occurred." I'm struggeling with the same problem here on a new server. Have no idea what to do. I have reinstalled the WPE twice, without luck ... Who can help ? Edited August 18, 2006 by Guest
Livi Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 Yep IIS is up and running. There's the default website and 1 other virtual host. Both are running and have anonymous access enabled.
Newbies MuniciNET Posted September 20, 2006 Newbies Posted September 20, 2006 Did you ever get this resolved? I've tried posting to newsgroups, talking to tech support, and no one can offer a fix for this. I can't get past the point when you tell the config if it is all on one computer or another. I get an unexpected error with WPE. I have a virtual host running under the dafault wesite that I MUST HAVE.
Livi Posted September 20, 2006 Author Posted September 20, 2006 Yep got it up and running ... See my other posts regarding this topic : http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/176785/
Newbies MuniciNET Posted September 21, 2006 Newbies Posted September 21, 2006 Thanks. I saw that thread. I only have the default website running. I have several virtual directories under that, but only one website.
Livi Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 try to disable the other virtual hosts while configuring WPE.
Newbies MuniciNET Posted September 21, 2006 Newbies Posted September 21, 2006 How do you disable a virtual host without disabling the web site? I actually thought about doing that, but can't find out how to do it.
