Hi. I am new to reporting in FM. I created a layout that acts as a one-page summary for a record. How do I script to go to this layout and view in preview mode so that it will only preview the current record. I have it working but it creates the report for every record in the found set. Thanks for any help.

Use the New Window feature to create a new window and then isolate the current record:

New Window []

Go to Layout ["MyLayout"]

Show All Records

Omit Record

Show Omitted Only

Enter Preview Mode [Pause]

Close Window [Current Window]

The idea behind creating a new window is to preserve your found set. Opening a new window adopts the found set, sort order, layout, etc. So, when you isolate the current record with Show All Records, Omit Record and Show Omitted Only, you are destroying the found set in the new window. Once you have previewed, the script closes the window and the user is back to their found set.
