"xfile is damaged do you want to continue yes no"

I have seen this error on and off over the years and it seems not to be what it says. In fact choosing yes to continue seems to be the right answer.

The files invloved are often different and were all "clean room developed" (never crashed- recovered etc). Recovery seems to do nothing to help. FM is generally very clear about a dammaged file and won't let you in untill it thinks it is fixed.

Any ideas what this message means?
