Server Admin Tool network traffic encrypted?

Is the network traffic between the server admin tool and a remote FileMaker Server encrypted? If so, how? I've enabled "Secure Connections to Filemaker Server" in the configuration options, but I don't know whether that affects only database traffic and not the admin tool.

I tried looking in the documentation but I was unable to find it. If it *is* in the documentation, could you please provide a reference?

The SAT Tool option for encryption has no effect on the SAT Tool. That option is for data in transit across LAN/WAN.

Provided you are using FileMaker Server 7.0v4 or FileMaker Server 8.0v4, the authentication process is encrypted. From the Server 7.0v4 Release Notes:

Remote Administration Password Security When FileMaker Server Admin 7.0v3 or earlier was used to connect to a server remotely, in many cases the password was sent over the network unencrypted. Passwords used for remote administration are now always encrypted. If your FileMaker Server 7 was set to “Allow remote users to administer FileMaker Server” and Administrator Authentication was set to anything other than “Require no password”, the remote administration password for Server, or the passwords for all fmsadmin group accounts, should be changed.

Important Note: This update must be applied to both FileMaker Server and all copies of FileMaker Server Admin you use to access the server. FileMaker Server Admin version 7.0v3 or earlier will not be able to connect to FileMaker Server 7.0v4.
