Wierd Cursor Problem

I am have a strange problem where the cursor appears to be out of alignment. The cursor is 5 or 6 spaces to the right of the characters being typed. Hence, if I am typing here[color:FFFFFF]..........|<--the cursor is here.

I have tried changing fonts and recovering the file with no luck. Has anyone else ever heard of or had this problem?

FM7 and later require anti-aliasing to properly space text. In OS X, this is controlled in System Preferences->Appearance. Setting the Font Smoothing off for "8 point and smaller" should be sufficient.
