Newbies seacow Posted September 26, 2006 Newbies Posted September 26, 2006 We have a database converted from FP V6 to be rolled out to 100 users. Have tested on various platforms and hardware. On one PC, in browse mode, parts of graphics are not visible, like the shading and outline of a tab. The text on the tab is seen. In preview mode, all are visible, it looks fine. Also, only on this PC, the cursor is not visible when tabbing from field to field so you cannot tell which field you are in and can only see what you have typed when you tab to the next field. This database looks fine on various laptops and desktop PC's as well as MAC. The PC in question is using Intel 82915G graphics card. A call to Filemaker said to upgrade to a GForce card. Not so easy in this school district. If it was the card, how could I "see" the graphics in preview mode?
Newbies seacow Posted September 28, 2006 Author Newbies Posted September 28, 2006 OK, I guess I can answer my own question. After further digging, we downloaded a new driver for the Display adapter (Intel 82915G)and it solved the problem. Since that is the case, Filemaker V8.5 (and possibly 7 ..we skipped 7) need to add this to the hardware requirements.
