I am not sure of the difference between FM Server 8 vs. FM Server 8 Advanced, in terms of remote access. I panicked when I thought I had ordered the wrong product.

I want to be able to connect to my work database from home. I thought I needed Advanced. BUT I CAN connect from home with plain olde FM SERVER 8.

The "Advanced" part is for web connectivity (IWP, CWP, etc.). Either version will work for FileMaker Pro clients to connect (through a LAN or WAN connection).
