grabing images from streaming video

Featured Replies

Hi

I am facing the following problem and don't know if there is a solution, so, any help is good.

I need to grab some images from a streaming video file that comes from a video source and to put theese images into Filemaker container fields.

The operation now is performed with a windows XP PC and a Pinnacle TV box that digitises the video signal. The images are captured with the Pinnacle's software and after the end of the stream, are imported in the filemaker database .

The operation must be updated, so that the capture and the import of the images to take place during the streaming of the video. If needed is possible to change platform or the Pinnacle box (but not the video source - its a dedicated equipment) and to buy any H/W or S/W.

Thank you in advance for your help

You can get the best image capture for win using the Hw

of http://www.theimagingsource.com/it/welcome/, the hw have the best twain driver i have tested.

for mac actualy i don't know a solution for realtime image capture.

If you capture the movie using other sw then you can use ps mediaplayer to capture image from the saved movie,http://www.powersolutions.it/

there is a beta version of ps mediaplayer for mac that make possible to get realtime image capture from the video-in box.
