I have two lines of text on a layout, both containing merge fields. When I add a tab stop to the text, it affects the text alignment of other objects on the layout. Has anyone else heard of this problem?

I've tried creating a new layout, with same result.

Also tried doing a recover.

Using 8.0v3 Advanced on two different computers.

I think that it'll better if you'll post an example file.

I didn't see how to attach a .zip or .fp7 file, so you can download the fp7 file here.

The linked file is a brand new file I created, with just the basic data to replicate the problem. I'm assuming this is a bug within Filemaker.

BTW it is simple to add a file .zip; while in Reply, look at the section: manage files.

You can have tab stop for every line of the merge field...

while in layout mode select the merge field ( with the Text tool ) and menu: View --> Text Ruler
