Easy question ... can FMServer 8 run on FMS on "Windows Server 2003 for small business"? I see from the FM site that would work under "Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition SP1", but not sure if they are both pretty much the same or not ... sorry for the dummy question!

They are not the same. FileMaker Server 8 and FileMaker Server 8 Advanced will maybe run on SBS. But you have to turn off a lot of stuff. Just get Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition.

And it's not, repeat not a "dummy" question. More people by far would be better off if they asked first, instead of just assuming that one flavor of OS is as good as another.
