Newbies puzzled Posted October 24, 2006 Newbies Posted October 24, 2006 I have a large list of customers in a relational database. When performing a find within this list, the higher numbered entries are not found. The data is intact and I can scroll to it, I just can't type in a number and go straight to it. Any thoughts?
John Mark Osborne Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 More details would help. What type of field are you searching? Is it a local field or related field? What is your search criteria and what are you hoping to locate?
Newbies puzzled Posted October 24, 2006 Author Newbies Posted October 24, 2006 The field type is a pop-up that accesses data from a relational file. I am searching a numerical list ranging up to five digits. The higher numbered entries will not source when typed in.
John Mark Osborne Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Are you sure the field is defined as a number field and not a text field perhaps?
Newbies puzzled Posted October 25, 2006 Author Newbies Posted October 25, 2006 First and foremost, I would like to thank you John for your interest in helping to find a solution for our issue. But yes, we have checked and made certain the field is set up for numeric values. It does work until we type in number values that exceed four digits, then it fails to go to the desired customer number. The odd thing is that the customer number is there and can be scrolled to. Frustrating.
John Mark Osborne Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Can you post your file or email it to me directly?
