In my learning process for FileMaker 8.5 I'm using the FM Creative Pro sample databases to fool around. In particular I'm using the Base Builders Praesto Project Manager.

For some reason I can't add a tab to one of the layouts. There is only one tab - I am unable to get to the Tab Control Setup.

Perhaps it only looks like a tab, but is faking it?

Any ideas?

Most of the sample databases were built before the tab feature was added to FM.

But if it is a tab, (you CAN see Tab Control Set Up menu item when you control-click on it) then make sure the object isn't locked.

Yeh, it's most likely a false tab. On your FM menu, click View --> show --> Buttons, if you see the button appear over the tab, 99% it's a false tab.
