Can't get into Script Maker

Featured Replies

I just upgraded our server from FMS 7 to 8, and our clients from 7 to 8.5. A problem that has shown up is that when we try to go to Script Maker on our Companies database, it is greyed out. Now I tried opening the non-hosted Companies database file, and it seems to be functioning perfectly fine. However, when I copy this file into the hosted files folder, and host it from the server, when I try to access it I cannot get into Script Maker.

There is a login/password associated with the database, but I use the same one in both cases.

One thing that might be related is that I had to recover and compact the database in order to get the server to open it. I tried only compacting, but the server can't open that file.

Also, when I try to go into layout mode to edit something, it says "This action cannot be performed because this file is not modifiable"

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Danny

Possibly. You should not be continuing to use this file.

With FMS stopped, check the file at the OS level to be sure it somehow didn't get set to Read Only. The symptoms you are describing are consistent with that.
