Send Mail - Want to See Dialogue First

Featured Replies

I want to send multiple emails from within Filemaker, but want to see the Script dialogue first, so I can add an attachment if I want. The only way I see to add an attachment is within Scriptmaker.

Also, I don't want multiple emails created through Apple Mail. If I click the "Perform without dialogue" option, the emails are sent nicely...but I don't see any way to get to the setup dialogue first.

If I don't click "Perform without Dialogue", then a separate email is created for each record in Apple Mail. That's a pain. Don't want that.

So...any help would be appreciated.

There's no way to show a dialog in ScriptMaker. All you can do is display the email in your default mail application by not checking the perform without dialog option. This would give you the opportunity to add an attachment.

If you don't want multiple emails, use the option to "collect addresses across the found set". This will allow you to grab all the email addresses from records in the found set. Watch out! If you add too many addresses to one email, your ISP might reject it. Most ISPs will allow a couple hundred addresses per email but you might want to check with them.
