November 21, 200619 yr Hi, I've got a FM Server 7.03 Windows XP, on a local network. I would like to access it, from outside, with a simple and secure solution. I've made some tests with Hamachi (VPN peer to peer) on 2 simples PC and simple FM7. It works great. My question is is it possible, or reasonable, to install Hamachi on the PC runing the FM Server ? Or the rule is really to not install any other software on the server ? What do you think ? Edited November 21, 200619 yr by Guest

Possible, yes. Reasonable or recommended, No, not at all. If what you're trying to do is protect the data in transit, you don't need the VPN. Turn on encryption in FMS. Steven
