Newbies rpadilla Posted November 24, 2006 Newbies Posted November 24, 2006 I got FMServer 8 running on Windows 2003, everything is working fine but I have one database that doesn't want to start and not sure as to why this is happening, it has been configured for 50 database to be hosted and all the other database are running normally, it does the check and it doesn't start any ideas?
dbhill Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I saw this recently and it appeared that the file had some structural corruption; so I recovered the data into a good clone. Then server would open the file. This is curious because FileMaker client would open it, but Server would not. Guess Server is more picky. ~Dennis
Steven H. Blackwell Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 FileMaker Server 8 has a consistency check built into it. If a file failstoopen, save a copyof the file as compressed and try that. Steven
