I have two databases for classified ads. One database has the current ads (anywhere from 20-50) and the other one has past ads (about 150). I would like to take one of the ads in the current database and move it to the deleted database?

Is that possible, or should I just merge them into one and have a field that says "deleted"?

It's better to have them in one combined table, and use a Status field of some sort to indicate those that are Active or Inactive.

You can then filter your Finds and relationships to only show the Active records by default.

A field that tells you the status of the record, usually a drop down, check box or Pop Up field. See attached Jpeg's.
