I'm evaluating Filemaker Pro and have a very basic question. Can you use Word templates for mail merge letters on a Windows machine? How do you connect FMP with Word for Windows? I tried looking for the FMP database in the mail merge of Word but it does not show up.

Thanks for your help!

It's a lot easier to do it internally... but if you didn't want to do it internally, it essentially works through vbscipt (or some sort of plugin) whereby you get filemaker to generate the vbscript, then spit it out into the windows environment and run it.... OR you can get an ODBC driver and get Microsoft Word to pull info directly from FileMaker.

Like i said though... A LOT easier if you do it within FileMaker
