I'm looking for a way to have a FileMaker Server 8 Advanced host act as a mail server, with mail triggered on both a schedule and certain trigger events in the hosted database (ie: a specific button on a layout is clicked). Users will access the hosted databased via both FileMaker Pro clients and via a web interface.

Anyone have any suggestions?

To send email from FileMaker client it may be better to use XML import instead of what's suggested in the whitepaper. To send email on schedule you can use FM Server's schedule to run a shell script that would request some URL from FMSA.
