Newbies frankchi Posted January 19, 2007 Newbies Posted January 19, 2007 Hello, I recently upgraded from FM7 to FM8.5 and now many of my reports are printing incorrectly. I did a bit of sleuthing, and it appears that the line spacing settings are slightly different in 8.5. Single-spaced lines are bunched closer together in FM7 than the are in FM 8.5. The upshot of this is that the text on many of my layouts is now getting cut off when I print it (and when displayed on screen). I can go in manually and adjust the line spacing height from 1.0 lines to, say, 0.8 lines (in Text Formatting > Paragraph > Line Spacing), but this is really tedious and would have to be done in ALL of my 40+ layouts. Is there something I'm missing here? Has anyone else had this experience in moving from 7 > 8.5? I should also note that I'm running Server 8, and the problem only exists on 8.5 clients but not 7 clients accessing the same 8 server. Thanks in advance.
Newbies Eaglmtn Posted January 24, 2007 Newbies Posted January 24, 2007 I've had the same problem--resulting in about 50 layouts getting screwed up. However, I don't think the problem is the line height. I used Arial font throughout most of my layouts. (I'm really a PC junkie.) When I change the offending type to Helvetica, the problem is corrected. Anyone have a solution? I don't want to have to fix 50+ layouts! Thanks
Newbies Dave Blankenship Posted May 31, 2007 Newbies Posted May 31, 2007 Anyone got a "simple" fix to this? I've got about 50 layouts that this is affecting Dave"AT"networkdept.com
