I am working on a db now in fmp8. It has a few users that have used it forever (since fmp4?) without login, but now we have a few new staff members who will access the db, and I am worried that they will inadvertently do things they shouldn't. Mostly I'd like to protect them from deleting or changing things they don't know how to handle yet. I would like to implement login through FMP, but have not done it before, are there any issues people would like to share with me?

Define a Privilege Set for each category of users. That Privilege Set contains the rules for what that class of users can and cannot do in the file. You can attach as many Accounts (with user name and password) to each privilege Set as needed. However, each Account can be assigned to only one Privilege Set.
