Is there a secret to using dual columns?

I'm simply trying to print large text blocks using FileMaker's dual-column feature -- so far, without success. It seems overly complicated to set up -- and then it doesn't work. Is there a "secret to success"?

As much as we sometimes try to make it, FileMaker is not a word processor. FileMaker can wrap separate records into columns (as in label sheets), but it can't wrap the text from a single record into separate columns.

I don't really have a solution to offer that would do what you're attempting, but someone might have an idea.
