IE no longer works with container fields?

Featured Replies

For some reason, Internet Explorer (6 & 7 both) are suddenly refusing to access PDF files that are stored in a container field. When you click on the PDF hyperlink, you get an error message stating "Internet Explorer cannot download data.file from servername.domain.edu".

On the other hand, Firefox works perfectly well; you can't view the PDF in the browser, but it still lets you save the file to your PC.

Anyone have a clue as to why this is happening? IE didn't used to do this.

have the file locations changed? are you referencing the file or actually storing it in the field. this might be the problem.
