In my solution, the gray Status Area isn't visible so users won't have easy access to go to a particular record by typing it into the white record count window...and I'd like to avoid having them having to go to the Records menu to use the 'go to specific record' choice. So, it got me to thinking that maybe I could code a little script tied to a button on-screen that when pressed, would kick up the windoid asking for which particular record they want to go to.

"Easy enough," I thought. "Just code in the ALT (key) + R + G + S and I'm good to go." Well, it isn't that easy: I don't know how to code the ALT key in to script. :S

If you have an answer, or a better way of performing this task, I'm all ears! (Just don't shout.)

Ciao,

Hi

It's simpler then what you image !

Only a script of one step ( or no script if you attach it directly to the button )???

Go to Record/Request/Page [ ]

P.S. : I'm curious to know the why you said: "ciao"

"D'oh!" That was too easy! Maybe we should start a tongue-in-cheek contest here of the most convoluted script to perform the simplest task; we could call it the Rube Goldberg Sea-to-Shining Sea Memorial Scripting Competition.

As for ciao...it's informal Italian for "bye-bye"...though in Brazilian Portuguese it's spelled Tchau and means the same thing. Maybe I best stick with "cheers" since I'm a closet anglophile ???

My point was to why you used "ciao" and I ( Italian ) give you an answer ???
