Identifying duplicates from import

I'm having problems finding duplicates during import.

Is there a way of setting up something without having to use a script to mark duplicates?

I've tried self relationships and it never seems to do the actual lookup when I do the import even though I select the "Perform..." on import.

Any ideas you have would help.

I seem to have solved my own problem.

Solution wasn't what I had originally set out to do but I like the solution even better!!!
