Checkbox not working?

Hello, I am trying to create a list of checkboxes.

I have a value list with 5 entrys each seperated with a carrige return. My field's control style is set to display as checkbox set and is set to display values from my valuelist.

Now the field in question does display the selection properly however the checkboxes are not selectable in browse mode. They are there because when I "Click & Hold" where they should be I do get the outline of a checkbox they just dont display as selected or unselected.

Any idea what I may have done wrong?

It sounds like the field borders are not visible. Try giving the field a border color, with a line width and a solid pattern.
