Unable to Start FMS 5.5

Hello all,

I am running FMS 5.5 on Mac OS 10.2. When I go to start the server, I get an error message that reads "Unable to Start Server. Another instance of FileMaker Server is already running. Requested command has not been executed."

I guess the best thing to do would be to restore from a backup; however, I was wondering if anybody had any better ideas. Could this error stem from a corrupted file?

Thanks in advance for any advice/help.

No it says that another instance of Server is running. From the Activity Monitor check to see if that's the case.
