February 3, 200718 yr Newbies HOw do I remove FMP 5 Server from a PC running Windows? I recently upgraded to FMP 8 running a 12 file dbase and for each file an error message says I cant share files as someone else on the computer already is. I thought I'd remove the FMP 5 server - someone tried to do it for me but now I have 6 compnents left which I cant delete. Help!
February 3, 200718 yr Author Newbies Steven, When I first tried this I used the remove program function but it did not remove it properly. Someone else then tried to remove it and now what I have left are the following files: fmpsmema.dll, fmpsmesg.dll, fmpsperf.dll, FMPSPROP.dll, fmpsschd.dll, Fmserver FM SErver 5 does not now show up on the remove programs utility, though there is a folder with the above files on C DriveProgram Files. February 3, 200718 yr Put the original install CD into the machine and run the repair/remove feature from the CD. That may help. Steven
February 4, 200718 yr There is an uninstaller utility for Server 5.5 found at: ftp://ftp.apple.com/filemaker/Updaters/Win/fms_55_trial_win_msi_upd.zip It might--I say might-help. Otherwise you may be looking at a general drive cleanup. Steven
