ChangeAgent Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Is there a way to encrypt a database on the fly as well as have a password? I am in FMP 6 though. thanks
Ender Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Are you looking to protect the database communication over the internet or protect the file from being opened by someone else? BTW: This is a security question not an article, tip, trick or technique.
ChangeAgent Posted February 4, 2007 Author Posted February 4, 2007 (edited) I am trying to protect a FMP file on my computer form prying eyes. any tips? and sorry for posting in the wrong place :-(( Edited February 4, 2007 by Guest
Genx Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 You could try true crypt software -- it's free, google it.
Ender Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 OS X also supports encryption through the use of disk images. Use Disk Utility to set up an encrypted image and store your file on that.
