Putting several Records into One Record

Having trouble with the logic.

Have a POS System and want to take the Sales information (Mulitiple Records) and transfer them

into another database (Close out). Each record in Close Out represents a Day. Thus I want to take the

sales records from sales (mulitple transactions"Records" and transfer them into one record. Have a fixed number of fields in the Closeout file to drop them into. The logic gets harry for me when it has to take the data from 5 or 6 fields and drop them into First entry fields.

If they have something in them, drop to the next fields down.

This may be an IF statement or a Case statement.

Just having trouble figuring the best way.
