I am brand new to FileMaker, using Excel for almost everything but larger databases is demanding my migration to FileMaker.

I often have a number of subject catalogue numbers (either numeric or alphanumeric or a combination) and I need to find records whose Field for Catalogue Number CONTAINS these lookup values. The lookup numbers may be combined with other numbers or alpha characters in the database I need to interrogate. Is it possible to build a script that will find all of the records that contain the subject numbers within their catalogue numbers?
