Hi,

Im getting a 500 Server error when I try to view the fmi/config and fmi/iwp pages. Is there a reason to this?

I am using Fm Server 8 on a G5 iMac using the built in Apache with PHP on. I had it working a few months ago but the server had a 'fit' and it had to be reinstalled and since then I cant get it working again.

A quick reply would be helpful as my time is limited. Thanks.

FMP Error Code 500 means that a data field has failed its validation options. But I don't think that is what is afoot here.

Server Error 500 is an informational report that indicates that Accounts are set for internal authentication only. Error 502 indicates that Accounts are set for both internal authentication and external server authentication.

That said, I don't know why the fmi/config page is throwing such an error.

You may need to reset the WPC config by deleting the three files found in:

Library/FileMaker Server 8/Web Publishing/conf

be sure to stop all FMS daemons before doing this.

One other item is to be sure that you're running FIleMaker Server Advanced.

Steven

In this case 500 is the HTTP Status code (normally meaning that the server can not fulfill the request).

As Steven pointed out, you should first tell us if you are running FMSA. FMS is not for web publishing.
