finding based on multiple criteria and saving finds for future use

I'm looking at Filemaker as a replacement for an old database program I use and have it on a free trial basis right now.

One of the most important things I do is print reports based on multiple criteria e.g.

if price >= 300000 and (zip=aaaaa&zip=bbbbb)then print it out

I repeat these same sequences each month for print out, based on that month's particular information.

I've figured out a lot in the past few hours on how to build data bases, import, export, print reports etc but I can't figure out how to perform these finds and then SAVE the find criteria for use in a different database next month.

I have a number of sets of criteria that I run each month.

Can someone point me in a direction?

Thanks
